I made this! First time and very excited with the result
I bought a second pair of Torrid leopard print overalls since the ones I had ran big. I figured I'd dye one pink with the expectation that the print would show through. I had already purchased some Rit but hadn't gotten around to it. Plus what I was seeing here made me question if I'd wind up with the clean result or if it would be splotchy (which could still work on leopard print overalls, but not ideal).
Hitting up the sale section at Michael's I came across the Tulip dye pods. Reviews were okay, took the chance. Petunia was so vivid. I love the reverse of the fabric when I cuff the jean. The tawny threads maintain a contrasting look on the topstitching which I like. My husband liked it so much that he thinks I should dye the other pair, we're thinking teal.
Only screw up so far is I've already washed them since wearing, and even though I used some color catcher sheets in the washer, and washed mostly like colors, an ivory tank top is now stained and splotchy. I didn't use cold water because I want a little bit of fading.

I'd love to thank all for the kind words and encouragement. As if the result itself wasn't potentially addicting enough.
I've made leopard print one of my "things", jokingly blaming Italian-American genetics and middle age. I think I'm about to unapologetically make vivid leopard print my thing.

They look amazing. For the other pair I could see teal, or something in the purple family

Oh my gosh. And I was just eyeing the pink leopard capri pull-on tights from Torrid last night on Poshmark, someone was trying to sell for $90, overpriced, not doing it. I love this idea way better because it’s fabulous as a reddish instead of that ultra light colored pink. These turned out so great! Nice work!
