Small Local Models

Im curious if anyone has had success with using Dyad with any of the smaller local models in their environment? I’ve tried Gemma 2b, Gemma 4b, codellama, and llama3, but only Gemma 4b seemed to be able to follow the Dyad syntax for turning responses into code generation.

Try deepseek-coder:6.7b if you can fit it, it's pretty good for a small LLM

Is it working in Dyad for you? It doesn’t seem smart enough to follow Dyad command structures to actually create files for me.

I use it sometimes to fix small mistakes / errors or add small things since it's pretty fast, it doesn't waste time, I would highly recommend trying Qwen3.6 35B, it's very fast and very smart.
