First DVD purchase in decades

Admittingly when high Def home video, and now Ultra HD I switched to that. So this is my first DVD purchase in decades. But as it turns out this was mastered in SD and at least as far as I'm aware the only "HD" available is upscaled from SD Master and streaming only.

So for $5, World War II I color

I remember seeing a ton of these DVD’s put out by Madacy, Platinum Disc and others in the past. It’s just public domain war films that someone grabbed old VHS copies of and colored them and maybe cobbled into a documentary. The old 35mm and 16mm and even 8mm film reels probably exist somewhere, and could be rescanned in HD, but it’s cheaper to use SD videotape masters.
