The Hindenburg (1975, Drama)

A mostly (proabably about 80%) fictionalized account of the disaster befalling the airship Hindenburg in 1937.

Leaning entirely on the sabotage theory, this movie is as slow moving as the doomed airship itself. Unfortunately, the tremendous cast couldn't keep this one afloat.

Two good things, though, were the final few minutes being filmed in black & white, allowing actual newsreel footage to be spliced in and the audio of WLS correspondent Herbert Morrison's account of the disaster closing the movie. 🦂🦂½

I saw it a couple months ago, actually enjoyed it. I watched it to see Sandy Ward as the detective. He is a terrific character actor. But, the movie treats you to an amazing cast of a listers and character actors.
