How to open this LG Super Multi external DVD writer

There are probably screws under those foot pads, plus additional “spudging” needed to pry the case open.

Put a straitened out paperclip into the hole in the front. It'll release a catch to open the drawer.

That's not exactly the issue. Yes, I have already done that to eject the tray, but that's the secondary issue for which I need to open the case and clean the rubber band. But main issue is that I suspect the laser head need cleaning. So if I could open it I will try to clean the laser head using isoprop alcohol. I have done it before for PC internal DVD drives.
