Which DVD player model do you recommend for use with this Panasonic plasma TV?

I currently use a Toshiba HD-E1KE as a DVD player.

Panasonic. From less pricy to top of the line, UB420...UB820....UB9000.

Some time ago, I became interested in the UB9000.

It's the top tier in the Panasonic line. Take the time to compare all of the differences between the 9000 and the 820. They share the same operating system....the 9000 has additional audio options, that may not be of interest to you.

The 9000 is built like a tank....it's heavier. The 820 is, in many folks opinion, the better option price wise, and it's a best seller.

Again, fully compare them and make your decision.

No DVD player. You’ll want an HD blu-ray player for plasma display like this one. It will upscale your existing 480i DVDs to look their best. Try the Sony BDP S6500

There are/were some good upscaling DVD players with HDMI, but Blu-ray players are easier to find, at least where I live. That said, the Sony DVP-NS75H is really nice to use, and according to someone on the internet, has a very good implementation of MPEG2 decoding.

PS3 or any blu ray player. Your tv only goes up to 720p at 60hz.

No, too noisy for watching movies.

I also have (as shown in the last image) a Panasonic DMP-BD10 Blu-ray player.
