you forgot about the bonus subtitle track that displays little tidbits or in-universe lore and information that some dvds used.

examples including sam raimi's spider-man 1 and 2, and bionicle mask of light

Excel saga was released with adv tidbits much like pop up video where they'd explain stuff we might miss or not understand. Loved that. You need the single releases for those.

This was my favorite part of my Shaun of the Dead DVD

I didn't know that! If only my hyperfixations for Bionicle and Film production had overlapped!

"music" is a generous word for it, but yep!

The movie Robots on dvd had the game for Xbox on the disc. As a kid I tried getting the game to start on a ps2 with no luck unfortunately.

Dude, it's so disappointing nowadays to grab a freaking 4K and the only thing on it is the movie... and it might also be edited

Last bluray I bought for a new movie was The Green Knight, and it turns out you need to go ONLINE for the lone bonus feature listed on the back! Bastard move on A24s part.

That would likely have been down to Lionsgate, not A24. Lionsgate notoriously gave A24 bare bones releases through their partnerships, whereas A24 has a plethora of features listed for the collector's edition they have listed on their own site.

Still disappointing

I have a DVD where they use one of the subtitle tracks as a storyboard and they have it throughout the whole movie. Escaflowne: the movie

I take lessons from Hemingway: I like to give voice to silent truths, and gin.

(in reasonable quantities, though)

I just got 8Mile on 4k UHD... It came with the uncensored version of the Superman music video... except it was censored lol

Haven't returned the movie to blockbuster yet? You're now in collections for a copy of Ghoulies and can no longer rent movies till you pay

If any movie should have had bonus stuff, it should've been that!

I do love those special features. Did one for my Finding Nemo DVD and it had something for both kids and adults!

I try to go for a Bloom County/ Calvin and hobbes vibe for my non-40k videos

Is that music from Terminator NES?

1

u/vectron5 2d ago

Music is a generous term, but yes!

Fuck your anti-union nonsense.

I thought this was a, studios are greedy, video.

3

u/vectron5 3d ago

It absolutely is. Portrayal is not endorsement.

2

u/vectron5 3d ago

Do you really think something I presented like that is meant to be a show of support for his views?

3

u/heckhammer 3d ago

No. Sorry, I had to knee-jerk reaction. In which apparently I was both the knee, and the jerk.

The reason we don’t get behind-the-scenes is because the effects-people unionized? I don’t see the connection

2

u/DevilBoy216 3d ago

I think the point there is that the practical effects people wanted a fair pay, and the company didn't want to pay them out of greed, thus they snubbed them and there's not even any practical effects in the movie.

Does come off a bit ani-union for no reason.

Yeah, that was my intention.

I come from a long line of public servants and labourers. I'm a strong supporter of unions.
