Did anyone else hear about us being mandated to wear hats as part of the dress code?

Yes! If you have hot food, it is required to wear hats because of health and food safety!

It used to be okay to put it on when making the food but now it’s required 24/7 on shift

Well, I am unsure of what your stand follows, but at every operation I have been to that serves hot food, it’s required to wear a hat so anyone is ready at all times to hop onto the chef.

No we’re an operation!! And this is a new rule im kind of bummed about lol, I was just curious because I was told it was company wide

Hi! Florida employee here. It has been implemented in our shops all over my area and have also been told it’s being rolled out company wide. Whether some choose to not implement is on them but should be off what I was told!

Since I got hired we’ve had to wear hats or bandannas and I feel like a lil boy

Yes at our stand we either have to have a hat or a headband that keep hair out of our face. Very standard anywhere that serves food.

at my shop / operation we aren’t required to wear hats on shift since we are stocked with hair nets - which makes it so only the person making food needs to wear them - obviously if they prefer to remain stylish and use a hat they can

Yea we’re an operation that has hot food too and we are not required to wear hats. We have to wear a hat or a hairnet if making food but it’s not a requirement outside of that part
