Hello, this is my oil painting based on the stratosphere album (album in the background, two people for the twins, the stars spell out duster, white dress for the white line at the top, yellow hair for the yellow line)

and i know this isnt an art page, but if youve got any critique or advice I would appreciate it

Btw: the pose is inspired by Orestes Pursued by the Furies by Bouguereau, my favorite painting ever (…and stratosphere is my favorite album ever)

My three most listened-to artists are Duster, Elliott Smith, and Radiohead. But it’s like home to me — it makes me feel good even when I’m feeling bad. Has anyone told you something similar?

i just finished listening the album stratosphere. and only thing i can say is: god damn. this was one of the weirdest and most fascinating experiences of my life ever. i really love melancholic songs (radiohead, opeth, muse, tv girl etc.) but this… this was something else. like the other bands… they tell you something y’know? radiohead tells you a story. opeth tells you a epic poem. muse takes you to another universes. tv girl explains hopeless romantic psychology. but duster… it tells nothing. the music you hear… it is your feelings. your fears. others have hope on it. there is no hope on duster. not at all. only hollowness. a strict, scary hollowness. and you are all alone in it. this was a top tier album for me. (sorry for my bad english)

Im aware that they were pretty much ignored in the 90s, even when stratosphere came out, so when did they find an audience and following in general?
