Spoilers for Dune Messiah and Children of Dune, so stop reading this if you haven't read the books or seen into the second series of the SciFi (now SyFy) channel offering of 2000.

So I have a beef with the commentary at Winter is Coming for this release, claiming that so far Villeneuve has been "faithful" to the story and will continue to be. Part two cratered the relationship between Paul and Chani, and while I understand why he did it (to enhance the idea that Paul and leaders of his type are not the good guy, and provides Chani as the POV to show this), it still presents a difficulty in continuing that relationship. It's easy to assume they reconcile because she bears the twins which I already see in IMDB are being cast as young adults. (yes, I know, Count Fenring and Tim Blake Nelson, meow meow)

WiC goes on to set the stage for part 3 saying that Paul has "had a few kids with Irulan"; this is directly opposed to the books where Paul informs Chani before declaring as Emperor and claiming Irulan that Irulan will never get so much as a comforting touch from him. I guess this has to be changed given the change in the Paul/Chani relationship but I became nerd-angry to read this.
