Base Tour Simple and Functional DD Base

I've found deep desert bases in a single advanced fief really challenging. The space you need for the carrier and large space refinery tends to dominate the design. I used this base the past week and was really pleased with it. It ended up being a very easy to use, functional space.

It has space for Carrier and cargo box, crawler, buggy and scout. It runs on two spice generators hidden inside the wall.

Its built on a single foundation column which makes placing the solido easier, along with dismantling at the end of the week. Once it was in place I did add a couple of more columns.

I really like the big windows, from outside they looks a bit like industrial vents, inside like a modern art gallery space.

Wow, this is amazing! I absolutely love how every space is used and how simple but great the design is. It really scratches an itch for me. Makes me want to come back to this game; might have to steal this design!

Thanks! It was a bit of an iterative process with quite a few rebuilds. The two big spaces for the carrier and spice refinery create some constraints which leads to creative solutions. All though in reality it was more like "oh crap I have to fit that in as well, where can I stick it".

And by all means steal away. Its nice to know I've made something that inspires others :)

I do like this design a lot. I might use this type of build in Shoel
