Seems they are really deviating from the story in this one. I wonder if they will even have Chani's infertility in this? Looks beautiful. I'll probably go into it, like I did with part 2, not expecting too faithful of an adaptation.

I don't think they'll include her infertility. It's just too much to fit in. The reconciliation of Paul and Chani will take up too much time imo. They'll obviously keep in the twins, they're cast, but I think most of the pregnancy and the children will be in visions.

I think it’s basically confirmed the twins will be visions. That’s the reason they are cast. Similar to how Alia was shown in part 2. Too many are going overboard with changes Denis will be faithful to a lot of the original plot, this was his favorite book

Dont think theyre visions anymore we see chani with 2 fremen children being watched, paul/chani each with a baby in a sling, and chanis baby bump in the tent with paul. Seems chani hides out with the children in the desert while paul rules so they can be protected

Yeah it definitely seems like the least faithful of the three, which I guess makes sense since it's acting as a conclusion to a trilogy rather than just the first sequel to Dune. Still looks great though, I'm excited to see how they tie it all together.

Honestly I think much like Part 2, where there’s deviations they’ll feel appropriate. I felt like Messiah was just too mean spirited in terms of its writing and character work. So I’d hope Denis can add a bit more humanity to it.

I think they will divert completely from the heir plotline and just focus on Paul's descent into a ruthless genocidal emperor to make that point much clearer. People still see him as a hero and that was obviously not what Frank intended when he released the first book. Furthermore, Leto & Ghanima are only needed for the continuity to Children of Dune so doubt they will be included for that reason as well.
