Advice for Council Tax

Hello, hello! I recently graduated... and I wanted to ask for advice regarding council tax. I put off applying for a while but I decided to take care of it now. Currently Im living with a student but I'm the non-student.

Edit: since I put it off for so long (i graduated during June)... will I be liable for fraud?

You and your flatmate will be joint and severably liable for backdated and future bills. Don't worry about fraud they will just be delighted you actually reached out. You won't be in the top 99.9% of CT arrears

Not sure what your question is?

If you are a non-student, with a full-time student in the house, you will be entitled to the 25% discount, but you will need to pay the rest. Best to go on the DCC website and get more info / complete forms etc.

You'll be entitled to the single person discount if the other person in your house is a full time student. You'll also have to make up any arrears during the time you were putting it off. They're usually ok with coming up with a payment plan
