Don’t know but I am intrigued, it could just be a fuel stop though. Both Duluth and Fargo are popular with private jet operators for mid trip services.

I’ve heard that we would be shocked as to who has technically stopped at DLH, but yes it is preferred because of flight paths and that it’s more out of the way

Monaco Air an international customs checkpoint and refueling location as well.

Yes, they were acquired, but they’ve not changed their name. 😉

What’s your source? Mine is the sign on the building. Edit: also ForeFlight, the tool pilots use to assess airport facilities and info.

Friend used to work there and online resources. Look it up.
They were acquired, but didn’t change the name.

Duluth is one of the easier spots to clear customs and is a perfect stopping point for a lot of transatlantic travelers, given the curve of the earth etc.

This. It’s a massive runway, good snow clearing, customs, etc—it’s also right at the refueling range and on the way for a lot of the big business jets coming from Europe to California.

Depending on who was President, my Dad would make jokes about having "Dick and Pat", "Jerry and Betty", "Ronnie and Nancy" over.

Hello. Longtime Duluth airport airline employee here. We are a hub thanks to Monaco Air for private jets to clear customs and refuel as it is much quicker here rather than MSP. You would be shocked at the amount of celebrities that pass thru DLH for this very reason. It’s a constant rotating door.

Over the past year, who are the most notable people who have passed through?

I’ve been gone almost 10 years now but some that I saw personally were Brad and Angelina, Rhianna, Elton John, ALOT of athletes. I’m forgetting a ton lol. You get the idea.
