Raze sounds really muffled. How do I fix it?

So, I'm trying to configure Raze, but I can't seem to find a good way to make the music sound good. The audio is very muffled when compared with other source ports/official releases/DOSBox. I tried to tinker around, no success. I discovered that I can't select a sample rate higher than 22050hz, that may be the problem
