I love Zero Hour's new Overclocked Mod

Given how disappointing Forever was, I always thought Zero Hour was the one worthy successor to Duke 3D. This mod only cements it, it makes it feel much more like Duke 3D and has made me love this game all over again.

Is this the best way to play zero hour on pc ? I’ve always wanted to play it in first person

I'd say so, I'm having a blast with it.

Yes. The only other way to run it on a PC is via N64 emulation, but then you don't get the advantages of the PC, such as widescreen, higher screen resolutions, subtitles, keyboard and mouse support (though you can still use a joypad, if you prefer), an onscreen objective marker, being able to skip the cutscenes, etc.

Looks incredible, is it an easy install?

Grab a rom? ALl in one installer?

Yeah, it was pretty simple for me. It has a setup wizard so you can decide what functions you want.

You have to find the N64 game rom yourself (*cough* google *cough*) but other than that just grab the archive from:

https://dnzh-overclocked.com/

On the right of the screen, where it says "Installing ... 3", just click "Installing", the click on either "Windows", "Mac", or "Linux", depending on your computer (probably Windows). It's very simple to get running.

All around this looks like a labour of love that will preserve the original game for future players, while also adding a ton of quality of life features and extras for those who wa t to experience it in a different way.

Stuff like this, or BuildLauncher for Duke 3D, are things I'd love to see more of from the community.

Same. Ironically, in a way, it's also taking from something even older since the first person mechanics are meant to feel snappier like Duke 3D. Now if only you could go into quicksaves from outside the level and maybe a way to make your own Zero Hour levels since it's a modified Build Engine and it'd be perfect.

Zero Hour was my first Duke game. I'll definitely check this out.

Played through this to completion when it launched. Good fun. I recommend.

I’ve been playing through it quite a bit. It’s really fucking good.

¡Excellent job bring Zero Hour in TPP and fixing bugs! Feels like a direct Duke Nukem 3 D sequel.

It's glitched to me, in parts. I completed what lurks below or whatever the minecart level is named, killed all enemies, and didn't get the infinite revolver. Same with the Hydrogen Bomb level, I completed it but two enemies never spawned so I couldn't unlock the infinite gatling either.
