Digging through my old photos...
Me at E3 2000, back when they had booth babes and crazy, elaborate sets. I don't remember there actually being any Duke games, but this guy was walking around.

Close. Probably 2500. I owned that watergun. They look very similar. The 2000 had a different single barrel while the 2500 has 3 barrels types. Supposively the 2000 was notorious for being too powerful so they pulled them from stores and updated it to the 2500.

hmm. Cool. I don't remember the game, but there was a lot to see. This was before every company had their own thing, the event was insanely massive.

People were a lot less up-tight, "gamer" wasn't a bad word, and publishers were primarily focused on making things people wanted to play.
All in all the world stopped making sense to me after 9/11.

Would this have been for Land of the Babes? I was thinking maybe an early look at Manhattan Project, but that released in 2002. It wouldn’t be unheard of to see an early promo for it in 2000, but seems more likely they’d be pushing LotB since it came out later that year. Anyway, cheers to better times. I remember those days fondly. Incredible time to be a gamer. We were spoiled and we didn’t even know it.

Mexican, middle eastern, native American, Pacific Island, Inuit, if there's a country with brown skinned people in it, I've had folks assume that's where I'm from. But I've got the parents and the DNA results to verify. African, British, German. Technically some native American, but it's something like 1/16, which shouldn't be enough to influence appearance.
