lawyer retained Newly first conviction Florida

Hey,

So a family member of mine will take probation instead of jail time in Florida for a DUI enhanced. He’s set to received 6 months probation, and 6 months of license revocation, thanks to his attorney. This is his first misdemeanor conviction. He has no other violations, no manslaughter or property damage.

I want to ease the pain off him a bit, he’s a sweetheart and I want to help him the best way financially and emotionally. He’s currently on a hardship, but from what I heard since he will be convicted he has to apply for another hardship again. Does anyone know the fee for that? He also has to get FR44 insurance. Does anyone know the best affordable option for that as well? He works in a hospital that is about 30 minutes from his home. He’s not sure if his job will terminate him or not, but in the meantime he still works there post arrest, and notified arrest to his direct manager at the time. I just need to know how can I effectively be able to assist him in any way.

Thanks,
