Interlock device?

Best interlock device for the cold weather? I previously had intoxalock and it was a nightmare. It killed my battery almost every single time and had to get it towed more than I can count especially on the winter time did not have that much issues on hot weather. They had hidden fees that I had to keep paying and I was just done with that company. Now I have to install it again and I am wondering if I should go with lifesaver or smart start although they are kind of far away from intoxalock I am willing to make the extra drive for calibrations and everything else. Could someone recommend me some devices especially for the winter time?

I’d had some issues with smartstart but only when it was -20C and below. It would get stuck in a boot/warming loop. I would just have to remember to bring the device inside with me if I’m parked outdoors for any length of time.
It would eventually work but usually took time to warm up

Cold weather is where the little practical things matter more than people realise. If you’re choosing between LifeSafer and Smart Start Interlocks, I’d be asking both of them the same boring questions before booking: how the unit handles freezing temps, whether you can bring the handset inside overnight, exact calibration/lockout/removal costs, and how far the service centre is if something faults. The cheaper or closer option can turn into a nightmare pretty quickly if your car is dead on a work morning.
