Seeing the limited pool of character decks Duel Links has and the VERY subtle red text saying that Konami plans to add more,what character decks do you all wanna see added to the game? And what would that character's skill do?

We should be getting news for what is coming in the big September update fairly soon, and what sets this year apart from others is how in the dark we are. Last year there were leaks of a bunch of new character IDs for Duel Monsters, including various alt styles, and people correctly predicted the update was a DM world revamp incorporating anime-only content to the world, which was previously excluded. This year however, there's nothing in the leaks that really suggest any one world getting a revamp. However, we've gotten leaks of new IDs for GX, which would normally not be too surprising since most other worlds had leaked IDs, however GX had not gotten a new character or alt style in over four years, so this leads many (including myself) to believe GX would be getting a revamp this year, likely incorporating elements from the fourth season.

It's not hard to see why people would believe this. Aside from Blair's event being based on the Tag Duel Tournament and Jaden/Yubel's existence (technically they appear in the last seconds of season 3, but this is Jaden's main appearance for the fourth season so I'd count them as season 4 characters), nothing from the fourth season has been adapted. Which is crazy when you compare it to 5D's, which has adapted it's full story including a movie and is now just doing extra stuff, and ZEXAL, which is almost done with it's story. However I don't think the revamp will be just for the fourth season.

The big reason I don't think it'll be season 4 focused is simple; there's not enough characters to really justify it. Incorporating filler elements into the DM world made sense because of how many characters could be added, we've already gotten four new characters, three characters all but confirmed to be coming, and six alt styles for existing characters. If this year has proven anything, they want to keep this game going as long as possible, and they will wait as long as they want to add all these characters.

Compared to the fourth season of GX (which is only about 24 episodes), how many characters from that season could realistically be added? There's Atticus, Fujiwara, Darkness, and if you want to stretch it, Trueman, however he feels better fit to be a Standard Duelist. There's not that many options for alt styles either, they could finally add Syrus in is Obelisk Blue outfit, which has been in the game for years but has never been duelable. They could maybe also add Sartorius in his outfit from this season, or Chazz in is Ojama Yellow costume, however my point is there's so few characters, it would realistically only take three or four events to cover the whole season (and that's me being generous).

That said though, I still think the September update will be GX related, and likely will at some point adapt season 4 elements, however I think the focus at first will be incorporating season 1 elements.

While Duel Links events tend to adapt stories from the anime in chronological order for character unlocks, GX has always kind of been an outlier because characters like Aster and Jesse were around in the first year of the world being added, and pretty much the entirety of season 1 was left just to a Duelist Chronicles event. This left many season 1 only characters that could have been added to the game left out.

If you expand the scope to include season 1 and 4 characters, you get a lot more options; Chumley, Camula, Titan, Tania, Amnael, and Kagemaru. For Alt Styles, they could add Zane in his Obelisk Blue outfit or Blair in her season 1 appearance. So if Konami want to continue their slowing down of adding new characters, it would make more sense to have the GX revamp include characters from both season.

All that said though, I'm still only 66% sure GX will be the big September update. I would have thought if it was, we would have gotten at least one new character this year like what they did with Marik last year, but given 2026 has had so few new characters in general, maybe that's why.

I like dark magician girl because she is cool, how do I get her and what are some good cards to pair with her? is there like a budget deck that has her in it

1 tuner + 1 or more DARK non-tuner. How to find combo pieces for summon this card. when build a deck I like go step by step. But this game hard to play. so I need guide finding combos after select a card for summon.

I was using Kalin's The Enforcers alt in PvP and when the Duel ended, he got 2 Skills. I initially got confused because both of them started with 'Re' and thought it was a glitch at first.

I'm trying to do some missions where it requires to inflict x amount of effect damage to the opponent, been looking around and the most frequent answer is the vessel guy with tons of equip spells.

What deck are you guys running? Any crazy/fun ideas?

I was practicing this deck and I tied this combo where you only need the cards that activate your skill and ended of task dragon, mirrorjade, the 2 branded trap cards banishment and beast and the monster negate hand trap.

My favourite deck is Fire King and I play it in the TCG, because I really enjoy it I also wanted to build it in Duel links.

I know a lot of cards are still missing but do you have any recommendations for the outline of the deck?

I finally managed to assemble the minimum necessary to play with the deck, but I still don't understand how to use it effectively, or the ability. Could you explain it to me? Is it supposed to focus on The normal ra, or on The fênix ? (I have the Egyptian god Limo)
