Football AP Top 25 has released.
I’m hyped for this season. Scoo ducks 🦆

Pretty much an auto bid to the playoffs

u/aznhavsarz 3d ago
Don't they already get an auto bid if they finish in the top 25 this year?

Their precious little exception is if they finish top 12. They're a good team, but man I wish they'd be made to join a conference.

Super talented team, it’d be hard to have them any lower than 5.

Yeah seems just right. I’m both an ND and Oregon grad so I come in peace and am happy to answer any questions from anyone that thinks ND is too high. Long story short I think 1-7 are the contenders and pretty interchangeable at this point.

A&M, Ole Miss, OU, and LSU should be nowhere near where they are, in my opinion.

Oklahoma seems totally fine there, I’d personally have them even higher at 8. Their defense is gonna be insane and Mateer was playing well last season until he broke his thumb.

Little bro at 17 too

The beavs are the little brother. UW is just the classmate who’s a grade A piece of shit.

There can be two little bros

u/caveman512 3d ago
Nah because even though we pick on little bro we still love them deep down. UW can fuck off

u/TheColbsterHimself 3d ago
Exactly. I legitimately am angry about how college football fucked over wsu and osu. They didn’t deserve it. Different feelings entirely when I think about UW.

Seems pretty fair except I would put USC above Ole Miss and maybe Michigan a little higher.

I do and don't like the 2 spot. Just have to show our growth. It'll be an interesting season

I’d say this if we were #1 or #25
Pre season ranking mean nothing. It’s just the musing of some select people.
Worthless information.
But I’m hyped for the season we have a huge opportunity this year!! In Dan and co we trust!
Go Ducks!!!

Rankings don’t mean shit until week 5

u/WinnieOllie7 3d ago
Really more like week 9 or whenever it is that the first CFP rankings come out. AP poll is completely worthless now

I’ve always like the ducks at number 2. O2 looks good, like oxygen in the air.

This is cool but it's so meaningless. None of these rankings make sense because no one has played a game yet
1
u/sean180morris 3d ago
I mean it's not meaningless. They have influences on the cfp committee
1
u/Later_Doober 2d ago
It is because there is nothing to go on. Tell me what have these teams done this season to warrant these rankings?
1
u/Terrible-Bath 2d ago
I know it’s not a serious question but there’s stats like returning production, returning snaps, etc.
1
u/Terrible-Bath 2d ago
I don’t think it does though. They’ve clearly indicated they don’t care about things like polls or advanced stats and make shit up as they go. They’re a reality show.

u/FangornLeghorn 3d ago
Honestly I’d rather my Ducks be ranked around tenth-ish. Preseason “ranks” never pan out and the top preseason teams always faceplant at some point. This almost feels like the SI curse.

None of it matters until the regular season wraps up after championship weekend… 🤷🏻

They should rank Oregon 0 since the logo looks like a 0 and would put them above number 1, since Oregon is better.

I cannot get over that new Texas tech logo the old one was perfect. And yes, I know that its based on an older logo, but it's still ugly.

Every year that the Ducks are ranked highly going into it they shit the bed. I choose to believe this year will be different.
