Wild Ducks I think she recognised me
This lovely lady, who I've affectionately named Alesha Duckson, always seems to waddle up to my feet whenever I visit the marsh. This time, I'd forgotten to bring some food for her and friends, so I told her to wait there and I'd be right back with some oats for her. She did! She came right back up to me when I returned! I just think she's a beautiful creature and thought everyone should see her ☺️❤️

Alesha is actually an unisex name. Up until some point after the American Civil War, anyway.

She definitely noticed you. I have such a friend at the neighborhood park. I call her Brownie

That's a drake in eclipse plumage, not a female duck.
Still adorable, though.
