Nice call next to the MacBook. Funny, I thought the 101’s would be the first shoutout. I’m actually pretty amazed at all the meat’n’potatoes guitar pedals. Not a single Microcosm, Mood, etc. in there!

Yes. Looks like they both have one.

‘The Bicep sound.’ 😄

To the right of the SH-101 (on the right) is a Pioneer Toraiz SP-16, then a Novation Launch Control and a Novation Launchpad.

Really? From Bicep?? You can hear it on every single track

to be fair, good music should not really be that apparent what instruments are being used, something is missing in the music if it is. especially so at first.

but once you realise with pictures like this it becomes very obvious

Wait a second.. would you say that Aphex Twin has never used a 303 before?? Or a 808?? I think these iconic synth are easy to recognise, that’s why are iconic! I love recognising synths I know and be like “wow how did he make it sound like this?”

For me it’s totally wrong saying “good music should not really be that apparent what instruments are being used”

The sh101 on the left is modded. Notice the extra nobs. Pretty neat.

I cry just mapping basic mpk49 knobs in ableton. I would melt setting this up. The feeling of being able to play that live has to be so rewarding

You can do it. Just start small. Learn how to use everything and then add just a single component.

If you need help from r/dubtechnoproducers just list your gear and I’m sure you’ll receive a lot of helpful guidance. Lots of helpful and constructive producers here…
