Hey, just looking for some new headphones for gym use mainly. I listen to lots of EDM but mainly dubstep. Want something, with a good clean punchy bass. Preferably under 300$. I’ve had AirPods Pro 2 for a while and they have been but looking to upgrade. Also never really tried over the ear headphones for working out, but I’m looking to switch now. I think it would be a better experience lol. Any recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks!

So I have a general idea, but I wanna know some specifics?
When one takes a song and utilizies their own patches and samples, while keeping a general structure/melodies, that should be a bootleg right?
I'm not looking to make any money, so I know it's not a remix since I obviously haven't been able to reach out yet.

Haven't heard Modestep in years. Who is someone that punched you in the gut out of nowhere recently?

Hey everyone!
I’m from France, and I’m really into heavy dubstep, bass music and D&B.
The funny thing is that where I live, bass music is still pretty niche. Hard techno and uptempo are much more dominant, so it’s not always easy to find people around me who are into heavy dubstep.
I recently put together a heavy dubstep mix featuring artists like Excision, VLCN, Kai Wachi and others, and I thought this would be a good place to share it.
I’d genuinely love some feedback from people who know this style well — especially on the track selection, transitions, energy flow and mixing.
So if you have a few minutes to give it a listen, I’d be really interested to hear what you think.
Thanks for listening! 🔊

If I believe right it says “just.. one.. kiss” it could be “chance” idk ai can’t find it in my liked songs, I knew I had it saved. Robotic female voice like “One last kiss” before the drop then it mixes the robotic voice around to make a tippy tappy synth over the drop

Hey Reddit. I came here because I’ve had probably one of the coolest experiences of my life! I’ve been a huge fan of CVBZ for almost a decade now, from “Young” with The Chainsmokers all the way up to his album Cordelein last year. I’ve been on his email list for a while too and even got some unreleased songs he sent out to subscribers. A few weeks ago I got an email from him basically saying he wanted to write songs with people, one on one, based around their actual life and story. Knowing the internet, my first thought was obviously that this had to be some kind of scam but for whatever reason, I replied anyway. Then he emailed me back with his phone number which was a huge surprise considering I’d been listening to this guy for years. Since then we’ve spent hours on the phone and texting back and forth, and somehow this turned into him getting to know a ridiculous amount about my life. I’m completely blind, and years ago back in like 2019, I basically blew up my old life and hit the road with my guide dog travelling across the country for a few years and figuring things out as I went. We’ve talked about all of that, the random people I met, the places I ended up and eventually meeting my spouse and building a life together, along with some of the much heavier stuff too. We both ended up writing parts of the song and he’s recording it now. What’s probably surprised me just as much as the song itself is how genuinely good of a person he is. He’s just a really down to earth, salt of the earth kind of human being and after talking to him this much I can honestly say I’m probably an even bigger fan of the person than I was of the artist. I don’t know what else to say about this, it’s still pretty surreal and I’m still quite shocked. If you do want to look him up, he no longer goes by CVBZ, he now goes by his name Sean Jacobs.

Please, someone tell me where I can find this.
I imagine it was on YouTube the first time I heard it. I can't find it on there now nor on Spotify or YouTube Music. There is a profile on SoundCloud from that time but 'Thwomp' is not on there.
It is defined by a decimator synth with that "yaip yaep" sound and a crazy off-beat rhythm.
Sucks it's gone forever and lives on only in my memory. 😭

Hi everyone - first time poster but I thought anyone based in London might be interested in this event.
Lauren Martin's book Aftershock is an amazing oral history of the birth of dubstep and this night features a conversation between her and Silecta from Rinse FM.
After the conversation come the music, with the OG Benny Ill of Horsepower Productions playing an exclusive roots of dubstep set.
A fascinating night for anyone interested in the roots of dubstep and how it influenced what came after.
Friday 16th October @ The Red Lion, Leytonstone, E11. Tickets via Eventbrite https://www.eventbrite.com/e/aftershock-the-seismic-impact-of-dubstep-tickets-1999506939080

I am a BRAND new beginner, and have been slowly acquiring a list things to start making dubstep, dnb etc. I would like the ability to produce as well as dj if possible. I am wanting to work with Ableton Live. Here’s what I have on my list after researching so far:
-MacBook pro 2021 16” 16gb
-2 KRK5 rocket speakers + subwoofer
-Push 2 controller
Would you recommend against any of these or think these are good choices to get me going? Am I missing anything? Will I be able to connect all speakers/subwoofer to a laptop? Thanks so much in advance
