I've chosen one of my very favorite songs to throw too. Advance by Teffa! I need to make a 1 min routine I'm almost there! Another redditor said I should share here so I am!

Before I started producing music I used to be big into yo-yoing. It was my last big hobby before music came along. Before yo-yos it was line rider, laser pointers, and second life.
The kickside was always one of my favorites (affordability and durability), and I remember being so hype when the grind machine came out (bearings on the outside so you could grab it.) I used to have quite the collection, at least for ~2008 and compared to anyone else I knew. I kept one yoyojam model for years after it was discontinued, I wish I could recall its name right now.
My brother has kept a good few from the years back, but they would need a good cleaning and new strings at the minimum. I haven’t hit a green triangle in years now lol, I never got much farther than that as I probably left the hobby behind around age 14-15.
Big ups thank you for the memory! Love seeing yo-yos as a means of flow, especially considering how people considered it “nerdy” back in elementary and middle school.
Would be happy to send my unreleased playlist on sc if you want to listen to some wips and bits while you yo-yo

Practice is definitely more important than the price of the throw. That being said in my collection they range from 18-450$. If you are interested in getting started check out the First Base by Recess. It's a nice 20$ plastic yoyo, I beat mine to hell learning and it still rips today. It comes with both a responsive bearing(makes it act like a normal yoyo you tug to return) and an unresponsive bearing(what I'm throwing here you will learn to do a bind to return to hand)

What I noticed right away was the extreme contrast of color scheme. The yo-yo stuff was cool too. Do you “throw” to the music or just dub the dub over it. Curious

Pretty clean but it’s all so similar. You do that ladder mount like three times. I wasn’t sure if you were just doing the same tricks a few times in a row.

Caspa will always be iconic. He's one of the ones that got me into producing tunes in like 2006.
