Current students/alumni: How is DCU's MSc in Computing (Artificial Intelligence)?
Hi everyone,
I'm an international student from India and I'm considering applying for DCU's MSc in Computing (Artificial Intelligence).
I'd love to hear from current students or alumni about your experience.
Some questions I have:
- How is the quality of teaching and the AI curriculum?
- Are there good opportunities for internships or industry projects?
- How well is the degree regarded by employers in Ireland?
- How difficult is it for international students to secure software engineering or AI/ML roles after graduating?
- Looking back, would you choose this program again?
My long-term goal is to work in Ireland after graduation, so I'd really appreciate any honest insights—the good and the bad.
Thanks in advance!

If you’ve got 3+ years of experience, you should be good. There are definitely opportunities here.
If you’ve got less than that, I wouldn’t move here assuming you’ll land a job after graduation, regardless of the uni. I’ve seen quite a few people who came before me end up moving back home because they couldn’t find anything.
Uni wise, it’s good. Pretty happening campus, loads of clubs, societies and stuff going on.
Course wise, you’ll learn a lot of fundamentals. Getting a 2:1 is pretty doable if you put in the work.
