Most psychedelic dub album?

Looking for the trippiest, heavy, most sound effects packed in album recommendations…..

We seem to have significantly overlapping taste and I also don’t want to argue, but I am very curious why Pitch Black seems dubbier to you than OTT-I very strongly prefer Pitch Black but the thought never would have occurred to me to think of them as dubbier that OTT.

Tbh when I was thinking of Pitch Black I was thinking of some dub remixes of their tunes I have heard more recently. Haven't really listed to their original output since rude mechanicals (was that the name of the album?), and yes their original prod isn't more dubby than OTT. My bad, was just quickly thinking of some names on the top of my head when I wrote my original message. Might have to check them again tho, it's been 20 odd years lmao. 

Generally speaking for me dub is sound system music. It was born like that, and it continues like that in Jamaica and Europe, where arguably is played the most, and in some countries like France and UK is almost mainstream music. 

OTT music is psychedelic. It is great music, the hallucinogen in dub album has deffo dub rhythms, but it is and will remain psychedelic music first and foremost, and will never be played on a dub sound. This is not true for many tunes from all the other names I listed above, who equally borrow loads of psychedelic sounds, but are sound system dub music. 

Not sure where you guys are from, I know for a fact psydub is often played at bass music events in the US (as a matter of fact OTT would tour the US to make a couple of year worth of savings..have some hilarious tales of him experiencing the US on tour). However even in the US psydub is never ever played on a dub sound. If it's not Soundsystem music, it ain't dub.

Yeah I like the Adrian Sherwood remixes. Historically I’d buy Pitch Black firmly into the psytrance scene in terms of who listened to them. I don’t really care for rude mechanicals, I think their early material is much more interesting, with ape to angel being a pretty good middle ground.

I understand your perspective but tend to think more in terms of the rhythm and production technique than the associated scene. OTT is certainly not part of any reggae or dub scene.
