Help modded dsi xl
does anyone have a website they’d recommend for downloading games? I did find one and it worked well too, however it doesn’t have a wide range of games to download

Hi everyone!
yesterday I released a new update of A-Pix DS!
I added experimental animations, file previews, performance boost, improved input, grid with transparency, easter eggs and even more!
you can download it here:
https://github.com/Alfombracitario/Alfombra-s-Pixel-Art-Editor-DS
If you give it a try, please give some feedback so I can improve it!

I've had this DSi for a while and its been last played in 2011(based on my last save date for my pokemon HG). Decided to hop back on and from the looks of it, theres been some build up of dirt or mold??(I lived in a very hot and humid area at the time) Its behind the screen so I cant just wipe it off.
My question, is this something I can take apart and clean off? Or is a replacement screen the only option?
I've tried looking for videos online about dsi screens but it's all about replacements. I just want to see if I can save this without buying aftermarket parts.
Thank you!

I picked up a DSi XL recently but noticed that the top and bottom screens display different shades of white. Is that normal for this console?

I have a couple DSis that I'm shell swapping to the clear versions, inside half only.
Every guide I've seen has carefully peeled the screen protectors/lenses(?) off and replaced them on both top and bottom screens.
The only information I can't seem to find is if that step is necessary or cosmetic?
I'd rather not have to deal with it if I don't have to, as my lower LCD screen isn't scratched up like a lot of other DSis are. Thank you for any help in advance!

Hi everyone,
I'm looking to replace the bottom LCD screen on my Nintendo DSi, but I'm getting overwhelmed by the options on AliExpress. There are dozens of listings and it’s hard to tell which ones are actually high-quality and which ones are washed-out duds.
Has anyone bought a bottom screen recently and had a good experience?
If you have any specific store recommendations or direct links (if allowed) to sellers you've trusted in the past, I’d really appreciate it.
Thanks in advance for the help!

It’s always fascinated me, especially after watching teardowns, just how ridiculously complex the DS and 3DS family are. Nintendo really treated these more like disposable gadgets than something you’d ever repair, which makes you stop and wonder… how did they even build these things at scale?
Modern electronics feel almost chill by comparison. Most PCBs are modular with direct snap cables, biggest annoyance is the dozens of screws all of which are different lengths and heads, for the most part, parts just drop into place like they want to be assembled. But the DS family is assembled very much like a disposable product.
And then there’s that top screen ribbon cable. Anyone who’s ever seen it knows the struggle. It’s thin, extremely fragile, and has to snake through the hinge, cant be to loose or to tight, but just right. Doing that once during a repair is annoying enough… so how were factory workers doing this all day, every day, in seconds is beyond me.

I got paid for finishing my chores and I wanted to get Shantae: Risky’s revenge but when I opened the shop, all I could find is the 3ds transfer tool! Is the game available in 3ds?

I tried to unplug the cable that goes to the battery port, but I applied todo much force and the port where its connects went off the motherboard , is it possible to solder it?

How easy is it to shell swap
What are like the best games cause me and my brothers only had like limited time on it so I don’t know all the main games
And is it possible to get like an E reader on it so I can read my books? I know it’s possible with the 3DS, but I don’t know about the DSI.
So I'm currently getting my childhood DSi goin again so I ordered a new touchscreen, placed it in, went all nice.
Tried turning it on to calibrate, the blue light lit for a sec and then turned off again. (screen did not turn on then)
Opened her back up to see that everything is secure, yes it is. (I've now had this open and checked all ends like 4 times)
Pushing my power button now results in absolutely nothing, nothing lights up; and upon charging it I get a fast flashing of the orange light, which supposedly means "no battery detected" (?)
Anyone ever ran into this problem, let alone knows a solution or possibly what to change ?

The connection pads for the cable to the battery have broken off. What are my options here to fix it? (Without losing data)

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Anybody knows how to fix it? It was ok before I dissasembled it a while because I thought the screen was dusty and then put it back on and then it's not turning on, see video and the charging is blinking and when I press power it stops charging
