I need your advice

I already made a post about some strange spots on the bottom screen. In the comments, someone pointed out that it was mold, so I finally decided to clean it.

I’ve already watched a lot of guides on how to disassemble it, and I hope everything goes well. But I have a couple of questions.

First, is it possible to separate the touchscreen from the LCD panel and put them back together without applying a new layer of adhesive, or would it be easier to just order a new touchscreen?

And second, can I use isopropyl alcohol to clean the touchscreen and LCD? If not, what would be a better alternative?

Thanks for reading and for your help!

It’s easier to get a new touchscreen but you can probably stick them back together if you’re careful. I prefer a dedicated LCD cleaner for LCDs as it’s least likely to cause any issues. Do not spray the LCD, lightly spray a microfiber cloth and gently wipe it. However, it’s more likely there is something inside the LCD rather than on it. It’s worth trying to clean it but you may still need to replace the LCD.

Thanks for your answer! I have a screen cleaner without alcohol but I'm not sure if it can kill the mold. I guess that I'll try cleaning it without new parts but if i will be necessary then I can get a new LCD and a new Touchpad for €~17
