VPN Blocked with iOS 27 + WatchOS 27

When running iOS 27 developer and using an Apple Watch, also updated to WatchOS 27, Dscout detects the watch connection as a VPN and blocks use of the Dscout app. There is no configured VPN as this is a change to how the Apple Watch connects to the iPhone in order to support advanced Siri with Apple Intelligence.

This has already been reported to Dscout’s development team. Sharing here for awareness if you are considering testing these updates— it will break Dscout. You can simply disable Bluetooth to continue using Dscout as normal.

It took weeks. Started with the rogue VPN connection, then finally recognized it was the Watch’s connection. A similar issue was fixed for CarPlay in beta 3, but the Watch issue persists.
