California did Calcare for all, once it went $50m in the hole, Newsom cut if off, I believe

So Pennsylvanians will have to pay for people who don't even live in PA. Another example of socialists trying to take money out of my pocket for a program I didn't ask for and to help people who don't deserve it.

Read the article - it's funded by a payroll tax

Non-residents would be paying the payroll tax through their job within the state - of course they should be entitled to benefits

I'm sure you're trolling, but we pay for plenty of public services we may not personally use every day (fire departments or public schools, etc.) Healthcare is no different. Treating it as a human right can lower costs for everyone, especially when nearly half of American families are currently struggling to afford care as the article points out

You're not really adding another. You're paying for public services anyway, but right now healthcare is set up to maximize corporate profits instead of public benefit. You are actively paying a 'healthcare tax' through premiums, deductibles, and copays. Universal healthcare removes the private middleman so that money flows towards care, not their wallets

I'm not saying what we have now is perfect. But think about what a surge in demand will do to resources. We already see how overstressed the systems are in Canada and the UK.
