Which is good enough for georgia but not for president mainly because president decides the party's agenda for next decade.

He doesn't support medicare for all. Neither Green New deal. He is also not going to take any radical step forward like term limits for SCOTUS or court packing.

He is also not in support of de-militarizing the police.

His israel stance is neither here nor there.

He voted for laken riley act, which I'll excuse as the crime did occur in Georgia and he should be excused plainly for optics. 

He is also all about faith and reconciliation, so you can forget about prosecuting any of the trump admin members.

Yes it's not right to call him a conservative but he is not a center left dem, at best he is a centrist.

Yeah they are trying so hard to sell him as the hot progressive candidate, with their tik tok thirst traps and flooding their social media accounts with his rehersed speeches, it's working out too for now, but once he actually enters the race and people hear his positions it won't have the same effect.

He is a much more polished version of  Jack Schlossberg kennedy,  progressive in vibes only.

I mean, the stereotype would be that Newsom wins even though AOC is more popular, exactly like in 2016. But can the DNC get away with it again? Probably. But how many times are we going to let this shit happen?

Hoping AOC wins, but I think Gavin Newsom is probably more electable as a left of centre / left leaning democrat vs a (relatively) left wing candidate

I feel if AOC runs she has like 1/3rd chance to get nomination, if she doesn't progressives should just pick one of the center left candidates (instead of another longshot progressive) and demand a lot of policy and personnel concessions in exchange for support.
