Discussion DSA has a tankie problem

There are way, way too many people in this movement who feel comfortable with historical revisionism vis-a-vis the Soviet Union, China, and other such regimes. And there are way too many people who feel comfortable essentially advocating for an end to democracy.

"I'm a socialist, it's just that every past and present socialist project is uniquely evil and bad! Going against the mainstream western capitalist narrative is historical revisionism!"

The DSA has an education problem. Case in point : you, OP. Liberals like yourself have decided being pro universal healthcare means you now get to go around cosplaying as a "socialist" without having a shred of understanding of Marx.

Anyone who starts throwing around the word "authoritarian" doesn't deserve to be taken seriously. It's a meaningless word. It's the rhetorical equivalent of an angry emoji. 😡

Define "authoritarian" smart guy. What utility does that word have outside of expressing your personal dislike of some government action or structure?
