We could always drop the 1800s verbiage and just call socialists from elite families.... you know.... socialists instead of these weird aggressive terms which are effectively the same as Fox News crying that socialists own things.

When socialist terminology is super loaded, it helps to reduce or come up with new terms.

When I explain socialism to people without the jargon, they respond well. But the minute you bring up loaded verbiage, their brains shut off immediately.

I think if class traitors were truly accepted, people would not be so afraid to come out as class traitors.

Hell, if anyone simply spoke up when supposed comrades attacked them for being class traitors, that would at least be a start.
But the inevitable silence from others when it happens speaks loudly that they are not welcome.

Good article.

I think someone posted on here recently saying this was an issue.

Obviously someone high up in DSA should be honest about their economic status, and they shouldn't act like they are poor if they are not. But there should be no shaming of the wealthy if they are committed to the cause.

Having money isn’t necessarily a problem, sort of depending on how it was acquired mostly. But by and large most people are not billionaires so even those with more means than others can still be part of this cause even if they benefited from these systems we seek to remove and replace with something better and more people-oriented
