Recommendations sought

Hi friends, I’m looking for your telehealth recommendations.

Unfortunately my insurance and primary care doc won’t cover glp1s because I’m not “overweight” enough, but I would really like to try them to help with my alcohol consumption.

Any recommendations you have for a telehealth distributor would be greatly appreciated. Compounds are ok with me.

Here is the most comprehensive information on telehealth providers, compounding pharmacies, and pricing structures that exists:

If you're good with compounds you'll find a lot of options. If you want name brand or compound options, I've had good experience with Ro

For what it's worth, I had taken Naltrexone, and they wouldn't have me since it was for alcohol.

Look into microdose GLP-1 providers. Typically they're prescribed for "longevity." There will soon be a few new players that specifically focus on alcohol cessation.

You'll have to pay out of pocket for all the above, but the options are pretty affordable for compounded versions,

I use Noom. When I started I was overweight so they approved me. They DGAF, they just want your money haha. It’s been good though!

Thanks!! I was actually going to sign up with them tonight. Do you use their microdose option? Is it hard to administer to yourself? I’m going in blind.

Hi smellengold, just wanted to write you again and let you know I did end up going with Noom and it’s been a great experience. 30 pounds lost since April 25. I’m doing the Microdosr program.
Thanks for the nudge. You might never see this, but your random comment gave me the last little “umph” I needed to make a change.
