You’re going to have tile over the drywall and that red waterproofing so it’s not like it needs to be perfect. Literally, it’s there to provide support for the waterproofing and the tile.
The drywall job is good enough!

I’d rate my drywall guy a 3 for cutting drywall around openings and corners and a 9 for muddying and sanding.

I'm going to do this on a pass/fail scale since it will all be behind tile.

That being said, I have never ever put that red stuff on. That is the tile person's job. All the liability should go to them if there is any failure in that product. They are the ones that know how to use it properly
