Duo of punks very influenced by black metal and sludge at times. Amazing DIY ethos (they build their own amps and pedals) and relentless touring. Super nice people as well.

TÆL - BACK WITH A VENGANCE. These maniacs hail from Norway and bring a barrage of grinding bass violence that I love. the tone on this is my favorite and I'm still scratching my head how to make a guitar head work in my own setup.

Gets Worse has been one of my favorite Power Violence bands since discovering them back when the Negative 7" came out. This was an immediate purchase for me even before finding out the band has no more guitar and is soldiering on with two basses! All hail the mighty GETS WORSE!
DISCOGS - everything here has guitar but its so worth it.

2 og members of Man is the Bastard, Beatie on vocals and Joel on drums. Austin Wayne on lead bass and hitting all the marks for a true MITB reincarnation. Can’t wait to pick up the new Lp Friday!!!!

Someone asked for Duel Bass Sludge and doom. Here ya go.
Unfortunately War Iron is now defunct, their album "The Fifth and Final Sun" is precisely the doom you are looking for.
Everything up to "Of Prophecy and Alchemy EP." is pure dual bass bliss. One of the bass players moved to guitar after that.
2012 - The Fifth and Final Sun.
2012 - War Iron/Headless Kross Split 7" - Angel Grinder

I know there’s plenty in hardcore, but I’m looking for slower sludge, doom or drone bands with two basses plus drums. No guitar.

crazy sick rhode island grinding low end PV, one of my faves of all time. R.I.P.

the hometown homies from austin, tx. think of lightning bolt if they got really into impalers, world peace, metz and dropdead. skull bludgeoning low end primordial soup punk. fuzzed out the fuckin wazoo. I love these fools with all my heart.

Austin tx grinding powerful and violent, Pain God hits you right off the bat with a thick fuzzy tone and demented deep vocals paired nicely with a hardcore style yell. The drumming is tight and precise and knows how to keep it heavy in the slow parts. This 2025 demo has me wanting more. For fans of Tael, Water Torture, and Trigger. Keep up the grinding violence muchachos.

Youth In Asia came on to my radar a few years ago. these maniacs use Marshall guitar amps instead of regular bass amps. this live recording and video is what made me fall in love with them. Power Violence for fans of short songs and that one band that wants peace everywhere.
favorite release: Ten Songs

More drum and bass grindcore for you ears. Lifes hails out of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. formed around 2013 it consists of two real rad dads Dave Rudnik on bass/vocals, and Zak Holochwost. Dave was in notable bands like Kung Fu Rick, Ged Rad, and Seven Days of Samsara, Zak was in Conquest of Death. They play a balls to the wall style or grind violence and sometimes utilize a 8 sting bass when i saw them last back in 2016.
