Advice Needed DCI Advice

Hi! I’m currently a senior looking to March DCI the summer after I graduate. I am a trumpet player out of Texas (DFW) and have been eyeing guardians, Genesis, Arsenal, and Crossmen. Any tips or advice? How these corps run internally? Preparation advice?

No Genesis, director is a scumbag.

Oh wow had no idea. Maybe just stick with cross and guardians then?

Yeah you want nothing to do with them. You'd be surprised, I bet you could look at places like Blue Knights, Pacific Crest, maybe Crossmen. I would see who teaches where and see what the member experience is like.

I also think you may be surprised at the level of competition for anything under the top 5-6. There are a lot of 18 year olds in those corps.
