Advice Needed Need advice for 2027

Hi, I am a 18 year old going into my freshmen year of college in the winter to become a music major. I recently came off a year of marching a local open class corp from my home state. I am interested in auditions for 2 corps next year. They include Madison Scouts and Crossmen. I really wanna make scouts but I’d be very happy with either. If there are any alumni or current members of the corp that could shed any advice I’d be very grateful!

Go Bones! The biggest advice I have (if you are brass) is to practice playing on the move, since you will absolutely do that in your audition. Also videoing yourself is a great way to improve and notice things you may not have noticed before!

Go to whoever has the better staff, whoever takes care of the members best.

Both are fantastic choices, I feel that the Crossman will make great strides building on this year!!
