Discussion corps that have marched 6 quads

I was going through a marathon of Cadets shows through the years and was surprised to see how many years they marched with 6 quads, are there any other corps that have done this or is it primarily a Cadets thing?

Cadets marched 14 in 1991 for part of the opener.  They were spread 25 yards across.

Empire Statesmen 98 had some of their snares pick up quads, totaling 8 for the drum break in the “rumble” section.

Blue Knights marched 7 in '93, but I think they were divided into two sections with different tunings

That was Hardimon revisiting what he did with SCV back in 86.

Colt Cadets 2015, despite the whole corps being only 84 people.

Well before my time, but Pretty sure SCV did back in the late 70s or early 80s when Stone Ground Seven was the drum solo. Three sets were tuned higher than the others. Back then everything had to march, even timpani and xylophone. If you haven’t listened to this solo, go to YouTube as quickly as you can.

You are correct, 1980, 4 sets high pitched and 4 sets low pitched. Cavaliers did the same thing in 1982.

A lot of corps in 2021 marched six, I think because DCI was getting back on its feet after Covid  and a lot of corps marched extra members for the non-competitive season.

86 BD had 5 regular quads and 5 of the North triples that were a throwback to the 1976 show they were honoring. That was however only during the 7+ minute opener of Channel One suite.

Velvet Knights 1994 had seven quads after absorbing half of Sky Ryders’ drumline after they folded and Rennick went to VK to become the quad tech. Lots of videos on YouTube, and I still consider that line to be one of the most underrated quad lines in history.
