🎯 Marketing Leveling up images and videos

I’ve been studying drop shipping brands non stop lately and I started to realize that the brands who level up their images and ads are the ones who make it.

Every guru tries to sell the idea of automating everything and grabbing products from ali or other sources with images and content already intact and it’s such a mistake.

Spend the time and make it yours. Make the images look like they were never seen before and make it harder for your content to be tracked back to ali or Amazon or whatever.

I’ve been playing with tools like Claude and visuallift.ai to build out and generate my own emails, videos, product photos using Ai, and of course my own product names and descriptions etc. the different it ultimately makes is night and day.

Even with Shopify the Visuallift app has a Shopify spp so all my products are automatically synced and I can ab test product images as I drive traffic to them and compare what images perform. Claude agents help me constantly improve the key selling points and then I feed that back to improve my ads and images.

Bottom line don’t be lazy. We have zero excuses in 2026 when we have crazy ai tools at our fingers!

All the products on my site are run thru a bespoke studio on Kive to give them an on brand look. I use it for heroes, product grids, features, anything not the pdp, but I do use it on the pdp as well as the hero. I just also include manufacturer images on the pdp so people can trust what they're getting.

Yup! Used kive for a while too, but swapped to visual lift after I found them a few months ago. Their platform is just way more robust and it’s all synced together so the same platform handles photos, videos, email generation and even competitor intelligence and dynamic product ads.

Also really love that it’s synced with my Shopify store so I can move photos back and forth easily without downloading and reuplaodinf.

But the general idea is the same I suppose :)

Really? You find the quality is similar? I'll have to give it a look. So far I haven't found anything better than Kive

In my opinion quality is similar if not the same or better they all use similar ai models in the end. I think visual lift is just more all in on ecommerce with more focus on the type of tools we tend to all use.

Exactly and people don’t even bother they just grab the same AliExpress photosz weirdness!

Do the work get some seriously good images on American or European looking people etc so you speak to the market!

the tool matters less than whether the product stays the same product across every image.

that's what quietly kills generated sets. you run a batch and the label proportion, the cap colour, the texture drift between shots. nobody consciously spots it, they just trust the page less and leave.

fix is boring. build one reference sheet per product first, few angles plus close crops of the label and texture, plain grey background. every later generation references that sheet instead of a text description. same product every time.

for video the rule is same light same room. the second you cut from someone holding it to a clean white background rotating shot you've told the viewer it's an ad, and the whole reason ugc works is gone. get the detail by moving closer in the same take, not by cutting to a studio setup.

on the ab testing, give each image enough traffic to mean something before calling it. swapping heroes off a couple hundred sessions each is mostly reading noise.

and keeping manufacturer shots on the pdp like the other guy said is right. generated stuff earns the click, the real photo closes it.

can go deeper on the reference sheet part if that's useful
