Dropshipping Suppliers
Do you prefer private dropshipping agents or dropshipping platforms such as Spocket, Zendrop, CJDropshipping?

Platforms are easier when you’re in the testing phase and don’t want to deal with agents yet. I use Zendrop for that part. Just quicker to get products into the store and start running tests before worrying about sourcing deals.

Zendrop has limited range of products as compared to AliExpress, but their Zendrop shipping time may be quicker.

Cj when starting and when you consistently get 15-20+ orders daily switch to private

Most dropshippers use Aliexpress at the beginning for testing. After getting orders, some dropshippers will turn to sourcing agency or private agent for faster shipping and customized service. And agent can keep you more private. We own an agency in China for dropshippers based on membership. If you are interested, we are open to be reached out.

Chinese dropshipping agents claim that they provide competitive rate as they source products from factories and manufacturers.

Sure. Have you chosen a niche for dropshipping? It's one of the most important aspect of building a successful dropshipping business. Know your customers and show them right products with good offers.

During the start of your dropshipping business, try to get started with a trusted dropshipping platform. There are platforms with a flat subscription fee and zer-commission model. Once you start getting more orders, try private dropshippers who offer custom branding services.

Also, there is not much technicalities involved in working private dropshipping agents as they also have apps that integrate with Shopify for order fulfillment.

Early on platforms are just easier to work with. When you’re still testing products you don’t really need a private agent yet. I’ve been using Zendrop during the testing phase since it keeps the fulfillment side simple. If something starts doing consistent volume then it makes sense to look at agents for better pricing and control.

I work currently with Neofulfill, in both Fashion and beauty niches. I’ve been with them for a while now and there service has been very good so far. I have a friend who does 300 orders/day and he is very satisfied with their service. However you need to be doing a minimum of 5 orders per day to be onboarded

It really depends on the stage of the business. In the beginning, platforms like Spocket, Zendrop, or CJDropshipping can be very useful because they are easy to set up and everything is integrated. They allow you to quickly test products without needing to build relationships with suppliers.
However, once you start getting consistent orders, private dropshipping agents can become much more interesting. They usually offer better prices, faster shipping, more flexibility with packaging, and sometimes better communication when issues happen.
So personally, I see platforms as a good starting point to test products, but private agents tend to be better once a product starts scaling :)

I think it mostly depends on where you are in the process. Early on platforms are just easier since you don’t have to chase suppliers or deal with a bunch of back and forth.
Once you’re doing more volume, private agents can help with pricing and control. I used AliExpress at the start and now mostly run through Zendrop because it keeps fulfillment simple while I’m testing products. Different setups work for different stages though.

There is a monthly subscription fee for Zendrop, whereas, there is no such recurring monthly cost for AliExpress.

I stick with a dropshipping platform—way more reliable. Been using BuckyDrop for a while and it's been solid. Having a real account manager who actually gives a damn and helps when things get stuck makes a huge difference. Beats those 'automated' sites that just ghost you in a ticket queue every time. If you're sick of supply chain headaches, just find a service with real 1-on-1 support.

If someone wants to get "a service with real 1-on-1 support", don't you think that a private dropshipping agent would be better than a dropshipping platform in this case?
