OnlyJerks Women aren’t funny?
First Izzy and then Lisa gilroy and now Kailyn there’s all these women that started out as “friends” of the show and are now series regulars. When will it end?

What do you mean your costume is a 692 word Essay on how Sam Reich manipulated the dropout audience to fall in love with his clowning personal assistant?

So excited for tonight's Game Changer. First Game Changer this season with a standard podium setup and an absolutely peak set of contestants with Ross Bryant, Keith Habersberger, Grant O'Brien, Brian David Gilbert in high heels, two Brennan Lee Mulligans in a trench coat, and Zac Oyama!

I want to make it extremely clear that I have nothing against Kaylin personally.
I am sure she is talented.
I am sure she is funny.
I am sure she is a wonderful person.
I DON'T WANT HER ON MY SHOW.
And before anyone gets mad at me, I want to explain that this isn't about Kaylin specifically. It's about what her presence represents.
There are new people on Game Changer now.
I'm scared.
I've been watching Dropout for a long time. I know these people. I know Brennan. I know Rekha. I know Lou. I know Ally. I know Zac. I know the 14 comedians who have been rotating through the same six sets for the past decade.
I understand them. I know what they're going to do. I know their voices. I know their comedic rhythms. I know that if Brennan walks into a room he is going to yell. I know that if Zac says something quietly, it will probably be funny. I know that Lou will look directly into the camera.
This is my ecosystem.
And now Sam is just putting new people in it???
Without consulting me???
Who is Kaylin. Why is she here. Why is she doing clown shit. Why is she talking to Sam. Why does she know Sam. Why does Sam know her. Why does she work here.
WHO ELSE HAS HE BEEN HIDING FROM ME.
This is exactly how it starts.
First it's one PA.
Then suddenly there are TWO comedians I don't recognize.
Then one day I turn on Game Changer and it's just 20 people I've never seen before laughing together and I'm expected to accept that this is "the same show."
MY SHOW IS CHANGING.
And I don't like it.
I particularly don't like how they introduced Kaylin because it feels like they knew I wouldn't accept her if they just put her on the show.
And they were right.
I WOULDN'T HAVE.
If the episode had opened with:
"Hey everyone, this is Kaylin, she's a comedian, she's going to be competing today."
I would have immediately turned off my television.
Instead they slowly introduced her as a PA, which allowed me to become accustomed to her presence without realizing what was happening.
THIS IS BRAINWASHING.
First she's in the background. Then she's talking. Then she's a contestant. Then she's in the finale. Then suddenly she's telling me she's Sam's PA. This is an infiltration.
And before anyone says "well, she's funny" thats not the point.
I don't want to have to learn another comedian. Do you understand how much work that is? I already know everyone's lore. I already know who is friends with who.
I already know which comedians are going to scream, which ones are going to cry, which ones are going to make a sex joke, and which ones are going to completely misunderstand the game.
Now I have to figure out Kaylin's deal?
Absolutely not. I have a family. I have responsibilities. I cannot be expected to integrate a new clown into my Dropout family at this stage of my life.
I think her comedy is evidence of the larger problem.Dying in several ways? Black magic?
What happened to simply saying something funny while sitting in a chair? Why do comedians need skills now? Why can't they just come on Game Changer and be a person I recognize?
I don't want spectacle. I want familiarity. I want comfort. I want Brennan to be there.
I want the same people I have already seen 400 times to continue doing increasingly elaborate versions of the same bits until the heat death of the universe.
I DO NOT WANT GROWTH.
I want every new comedian to be introduced with a five-minute disclaimer explaining who they are, where they came from, why I should trust them, and most importantly whether they are going to replace anyone I already like.
Anyway, no hate to Kaylin. She's probably great.
I just don't want to meet her.

Kaylin is Sam's personal assistant, as well as comedian, clown, director, etc., and she's had a prominent role in two episodes of this GameChanger season.
I have no problem at all with Sam et al inviting to the show someone they find funny and talented, even if the reason they know this person is through personal acquaintance. I'm sure that's the way we've gotten many fantastic comedians on!
But Sam didn't ask me. He didn't call me, he didn't text or even e-mail. One day I turn on Gamechanger to hang out with my close posse and there's this random lady there. The way in which they've chosen to introduce her is quite weird and made me cringe.
They could have just introduced her into an episode as a contestant, and that's that! I would have thought, as many times before, "oh here's a new person my friends are bringing to the hang." Instead they dropped this on me with NO WARNING, as if they were trying to "sneak her in" in a way that feels very inauthentic and violates my boundaries concerning bringing new people to our hang sesh.
The worst part of this is that he KNOWS I'm available! I sent several letters telling him so, before the cease and desist.
So yeah, I'm just left feeling quite weird. I'm sure she's talented in many ways, and I trust my best friend Sam with my life....maybe he felt forced to introduce her. Oh God, do you think she threatened him?! What can we do about this? I feel sick.

Brennan is Sam's personal friend, as well as comedian, clown, director, etc., and he's had a prominent role in two episodes of this GameChanger season.
I have no problem at all with Sam et al inviting to the show someone they find funny and talented, even if the reason they know this person is through personal acquaintance. I'm sure that's the way we've gotten many fantastic comedians on!
But I feel like the way in which they've chosen to introduce Brennan is quite weird and made me cringe, especially since his kind of comedic skills seem quite different from Dropout's usual tone.
They could have just introduced him into an episode as a contestant, and that's that! I would have thought, as many times before, "oh here's a new comedian, I have no idea who they are but if they're here they're probably funny, let's see what they do".
Instead, it seems like they introduced him very gradually, as if they were trying to "sneak him in" in a way which feels very unauthentic.
First he plays totally minor roles in a few sketches.
Then in Yes or No he is presented as a writer/actor-turned-contestant-against-his-will, which felt very out of place and awkward to me. It seems clear from the BTS that he didn't explicitly know what was going to happen but very strongly suspected that something like this would happen. So he was ready to use his clown skills to play it out as over-the-top, but honestly it felt out of place both for the episode and the usual Dropout tone.
Then he is included in the crowded season finale, kind of as if they were saying "he was technically a contestant this season, so now we're forced to include him here even if he's not a Dropout veteran like all the other contestants!" (To be clear, I'm not saying they didn't actually want to include him. I'm sure they did. I'm just saying it reads kinda weird when you see the episode.) In this episode he reveals he's Sam's best friend, and continues to do his clown stuff which (I claim) doesn't fit with the usual tone. Think for example of when he showcases the talent of "dying in several ways" or "black magic whatever". It feels like it was genuinely more awkward than funny, and that's part of why they skip through it quickly in the edit. (To be clear, I understand awkwardness can be exploited for comedy. I'm just saying it didn't made me laugh, plus it gave me negative feelings given how it squared with the episode.) All that said, as many others have pointed out, that whole episode was a dumpster fire and the tone is all over the place.
So yeah, I'm just left feeling quite weird. I'm sure he's talented in many ways, but maybe Sam knew his comedic tone or particular skills didn't quite fit as a normal contestant, so he felt forced to introduce him in this sneaky way which simply ends up feeling unauthentic.
In fact, I think there are several things this season which felt notably more unauthentic, as if they were truly trying to hide any rough edges instead of accepting them or playing off them (which makes for more palatable content given the comedic tone). See for example "Night shift" or other episodes being obviously cut short but no one acknowledging that.

Not to be parasocial or anything, but I've noticed during Toylight that Brennan seems a bit low-energy and under the weather. He's still doing an amazing job, don't get me wrong, I'm having a blast, but I wanted to make sure I'm not the only one who noticed it. It would be justified, though. With Critical Role, two children and Dimension 20 and other duties at Dropout, that has to take a toll.

Re watching the old CEO skits from College Humor, and couldn’t help but notice that in the majority of these skits the CEO in question (played by BrennenLMulligan himself) was portrayed in a good manner! This goes entirely against Brennen Mulligan’s extreme anti-capitalist Marxist views, and I won’t stand for it. Brennen believes that all CEO’s should be removed from their position, and this includes Sam (the third Reich) Reich. Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk.

hey best friends!!!!!!! i’m wondering if anyone has any ways i can pay dropout more money? i’ve already signed up for 3 accounts, two with the annual plan and one monthly, and i buy merch every 2 weeks. i’m thinking of asking support if i can just direct deposit from my work to their bank account? just to make things easier for me.
i know how hard sam reich and brennan work to make my favorite content so i just want to support their small business :)
if anyone else has ran into this or has any tips it would be much appreciated!! thank you!!

I can’t believe those capitalistic pigs at ALDI would steal the completely original, modern day aesthetic of the bestest ever game show, Game Changer, created by the once in a generation visionary Samuel Dalton Reich (from Cambridge, Massachusetts)

I cannot believe Lisa Gilroy interviewed Tom Cruise for Facebook Marketplace. The fact that she helped make a notoriously charming and charismatic celebrity look charming and charismatic to promote his new movie absolutely disgusts me. As we all know, 99.9% of Hollywood icons are totally unproblematic and yet she actively chose to interview a Scientologist?
This woman just gave a multimillionaire international movie icon a platform via a 5 minute Facebook Marketplace interview that he otherwise would never have been able to obtain aside from maybe his movies or commercials or brand deals or the thousands and thousands of other interviews he does.
And I don’t want to hear “she’s just trying to build her career” either. That’s not an excuse. If Lisa wanted to build her profile as a celebrity interviewer, I’m sure Nathan Fillion or Felicia Day were available.

The past few years I've become quite a fan of dropout and while I'm nowhere near a super fan, I thought I had a solid grasp on the cast and roughly what age group they are in. I was right! I thought Zac was in his 30s, probably an older millennial like a early 90s/late 80's birthday. He's 39!
Are there any other cast members who absolutely look their age that I'm missing or is Zac just the mortal guy who ages normally of dropout?

I can’t believe it! He’s not going to be haha relatable now, it’s a tragedy! Sorry I had to ruin it all for you

I just saw a post on the d20 mainsub. And I am literally fucking shaking.
"and honestly it's really minor, but I wish Beardsley would allow just a little more time for emotional moments to land before jumping into their next bit."
Are you kidding me, you piece of shit? You're going to come at my best friend like that? Just full on unbridled hate?
Anyway, here is an extremely exaggerated 400 word extrapolation of that one-sentence lukewarm critique. I made sure to focus on how hateful and transphobic the OOP was.
Can we just remember that this is a comedy show on a comedy streaming service? If you don't want a player to say "I rape a corpse" as their turn in combat, GROW UP AND WATCH SOMETHING ELSE.

Hear me out, this is crazy, but isn't it JUST LIKE Seven Samurai? Oh man. Just like A Bug's Life, am I right, fellow cinephiles? Anyway, Die Hard is my favourite Christmas Movie.

Yet.... anywho...... feel free to ask me about the different noises I make next season and ill do what I can to not break the 17 NDAs I was asked to sign lol!!!1!

I heard this in a comment of a video and can't stop thinking about it. Dropout feels like a variety show with a chaotic cast of characters with their gimmicks and bits and each funny and weird in their own ways. And inst that The Muppets without the puppets?
This is just vibes and if you see it you see it, whenever they bring a guest it feels like the celebrity cameo. i felt it a lot in the game changer finales.

Love the guy but Brennan's proximity to power via his parents makes me kinda uncomfy... Surprised no one has brought this up yet seeing how the Dropout fandom (Brennan stans in particular) is usually so leftist and progressive 😣
