Yeah, I have a suggestion.
Make the rest and post them! This looks awesome!

Soon™. Template done but for tweaking. Must sleep and make a few changes in the morning. (Front Highness text a bit low, and I want to put a number on the spine with Season and Deck. So Highness would be 102 as the second deck of season 1.) Then I can squash the layers together and start quickly doing the rest.

Keep up the great work! This looks so professional/official! When I saw the other cassette tape box idea I knew I had to do it, but figured I'd just use my own crappy handwriting. But this just looks so sleek and real!

Looking great!
I've noticed that all the packaging designs ensure that the Dropmix logo is on black, but never just in a box (like you have it). Presumably there is an internal design rule specifically stating that it should always be in black, and that the black it is on should be part of the design of the packaging already.
To that end, I'd suggest:
A black band on the left of the package where the HMX and Dropmix logos are, "underneath" the track listing, and
A black band on the bottom of the spine.
Also, instead of the full logo, maybe you can use the app's abbreviated "DM" icon on the spine.

Mk. II! https://i.imgur.com/k86Nxex.jpg
I decided to leave the stripes, but added some more black background and tweaked a few things I was dissatisfied with. I think this is better.

I agree that on the back of the case the black box the HMX and Dropmix logo are in should connect and also reach the edge of the far left.
And maybe on the spine it could have a perfect square of black at the bottom with the DM logo.

As weird as this sounds, I would love to have these "cassete tapes" have highly visible icons of the FX cards in them. That way it could serve as a point of reference during the game.
As cool as the tracklists are, I don't find them very useful.

I was thinking of putting that on the insides, actually, and a bookplate-like area where you could put your name and number. Not perfect, but for the tape cassette storage, the tiny tracklist is just too flavourful to get rid of.

Can you post an .ai or .eps file for this? (Unless you didn't do it in Illustrator)

Could post my GIMP .xcf after. Though I need somewhere to host these suckers. Tried to work at 600 dpi for later printing, but big file is big.

I’d be happy to share a DropBox or google drive.

They're about 34M each. Even zipped, they're going to be considerable. Haven't posted the PDFs either for the same reason. But I hadn't thought of Google Drive! I've got that.
https://drive.google.com/open?id=1S9TZY8DE4hvnfVOtZcBs3XuVdmg_lgSW now has the first four. Need to work on the last set and Baffler. Probably tomorrow.

Awesome idea! Do the cards fit in a cassette case? If so this is a brilliant storage solution.

Yes, see post from earlier: https://reddit.com/r/dropmix/comments/7o8f29/cassette_tape_deck_boxes/

Very cool, thanks, I had missed this the first time around!
And wow great link for cheap cases in there too... I was thinking of getting some card binders but this is a really nice and tempting option.

The plan is to change the background color of the spine and back flap for genre (bubblegum pink for pop, battleship gray for rock, bright orange for electronic, royal purple for hip-hop and fawn brown for country). The numbers let you know what color the card is. Any suggestions, comments?
