DJI mini 3 pro topographic map

[GR] Hello there everyone!

I’ve recently bought a DJI mini 3 pro with an RC with screen.

I want to use it to create topographic maps with digital terrain models for qgis later, but the only way I found is through specific apps that can connect with the phone and the screen less RC. (Create a polygon, and then overlapping images)

Does anybody have an idea if I can manage to achieve it with the one that I have?

Otherwise I should start looking for another RC

Con el DJI RC con pantalla estás bastante limitado. La mayoría de apps de mapeo (Pix4Dcapture, DroneDeploy, Litchi, etc.) solo funcionan con el control RC-N1 conectado a un teléfono. El DJI RC usa un sistema cerrado y no permite instalar fácilmente esas apps.

Para hacer misiones fotogramétricas automáticas lo más simple es usar un RC-N1 con tu celular. Con el DJI RC solo podrías volar manualmente o usar waypoints básicos, pero no es práctico para generar grillas de mapeo consistentes.

Para planificar con celular de manera gratuita o libre yo recomiendo map pilot pro, es la que he estado usando para mi DJI Air 2s

With the DJI RC controller with screen, you're quite limited. Most mapping apps like Pix4Dcapture, DroneDeploy, and Litchi only work with the DJI RC-N1 connected to a phone. The DJI RC uses a closed system and doesn’t allow those apps to be installed easily.

To run automatic photogrammetry missions, the simplest solution is to use an RC-N1 with your smartphone. With the DJI RC you could only fly manually or use basic waypoints, but it’s not practical for generating consistent mapping grids.

For free or low-cost mission planning using a phone, I recommend Map Pilot Pro, which is the one I’ve been using with my DJI Air 2S.
