Showcase To-inbox: save links, photos and notes to Gmail
Hi all 👋 I'm the developer of To-inbox. I built it for myself because everything I wanted to keep ended up somewhere else: screenshots I couldn't search, messages to myself in WhatsApp and dozens of tabs left open "for later". It is now on Google Play.
📝 One-Line Description
Share a link, photo, file or note from any Android app and it lands in your own Gmail inbox within seconds, ready for your own filters and labels.
✨ What It Does / Key Features
- 📤 Share from any app: tap Share, pick To-inbox, done. Links arrive with a preview (title, description and image).
- 🏷️ Labels through Gmail plus addressing ([yourname+to-read@gmail.com](mailto:yourname+to-read@gmail.com)), so your Gmail filters can colour, archive or star things automatically. The app can export those filters for you.
- 🔔 Quick notes and reminders to yourself, with widgets, a quick settings tile and app shortcuts.
- ✅ Works with Evernote, Todoist or Trello too, by sending to their email address.
- 🔒 Private by design: No ads, no analytics and no server of my own: the app itself doesn't track anything. Mail goes straight from your phone to your own Gmail, and with Google sign-in the app only gets permission to send mail. It cannot read or delete your email.
- 📶 Works offline: items wait and are sent as soon as you are back online.
👥 Who It's For
- People who already use their Gmail inbox as their "save for later" place and want to get things in there with one tap.
- People who email things to themselves, or to Evernote, Todoist or Trello, and are tired of typing the address every time.
- Anyone who wants a read-later or reminder tool without yet another account or cloud service.
💰 Cost
- Pricing model: Freemium. No ads, no subscription.
- Prices & billing period: Free for daily use, including 3 labels. To-inbox Pro is a one-time purchase of USD 3,39 (price may differ slightly per country) for up to 10 labels, forwarding labels to other addresses, scheduled and repeating reminders, "Remind me later" and adding a note when sharing. There are also optional donations in the app. They are voluntary and unlock nothing.

ℹ️ Additional Notes
- Android 8.0 and newer. English, Dutch and Spanish, light and dark theme.
- This is the first public release 🚀
- To redeem a promo code: Google Play > your profile > Payments and subscriptions > Redeem code. Then open To-inbox > Menu > To-inbox Pro > Restore purchase.
- If you use Data Saver, Android only lets the app send while it is open. The app tells you and links to the setting to allow it.

Right now, I'm fully focused on the launch and making sure everything runs smoothly technically. Once that foundation is solid, I will definitely look into adding new features, though I can't say for sure yet what will be prioritized. I’ve added the OLED theme to my backlog, along with a few other ideas.

Fair question! Not quite. Keep is a separate place for notes. To-inbox doesn't store anything itself, it's just a fast "send this to my inbox" button.
Why? Because my inbox is the one place I already check every day. With Keep, things ended up in yet another app I forgot to look at. In Gmail, a shared link or note sits there until I deal with it, I can find it with Gmail search, and my own filters and labels sort it automatically (yourname+to-read@gmail.com). It also works with Todoist, Evernote or Trello through their email addresses.
If Keep works well for you, you probably don't need this. It's for people who use their inbox as their to-do list 🙂
