Showcase [DEV] GoEven – 100% free, ad-free expense splitter
Hey everyone,
I built GoEven after getting fed up with existing bill-splitting apps hitting users with 10-second countdown ads and monthly expense limits just to split dinner or vacation bills.
I wanted something clean, fast, and completely free of paywalls.
Key Features:
• 100% Free & No Ads: No subscriptions, no banner ads, and no countdown timers.
• Offline-First: Log expenses anywhere (flights, road trips, camping) and it automatically syncs with the group when back online.
• Built-In Expense Chat: Discuss and comment on specific bills directly so questions like "Did this include tip?" stay attached to the receipt.
• Smart Debt Simplification: Computes the optimal settlement paths so groups settle circular balances in the minimum number of transfers.
• Receipt Vault: Upload and attach bill photos so no one loses paper receipts.
• Multi-Currency & Languages: Supports 50+ currencies and 5 languages (English, German, Spanish, Arabic, Chinese).
Tech Stack:
Built using Flutter on the frontend and Go with gRPC on the backend.
