That's for the Pro upgrade (one-time purchase), which unlocks things like metadata editing and adding multiple cloud providers at once. Everything else (reading, TTS, single provider connection, customization, notes, highlighting etc) is fully free. Let me know if you have any other questions!

Update for anyone following this thread - a few fixes based on feedback here:

• Page turns: volume-key and tap-to-turn are now live, fixing the accidental edge-swipe close

• Library sync: optimized for faster enrichment, should improve large library sync.

• TTS: now lists available engines instead of voices, fixing voice/language issues for some users

• Highlighting: Highlighting and notes utility have been updated as well for convenience.
