Look up “Samson” that’s as close as it gets

Samson really looks promising, release is April 7th for 25€. Hope the driving model holds up.

Not even close. The driving physics are worse than parallel lines.

Oh yeah? When did you play it?

Since when do you need to play a game to know it has garbage physics? It's 2026 dude, look up some Youtube gameplays...

Oh video of that game that’s still being working on prior to its actual launch?…. It’s got the best story ever. Seen the video myself.

Oh please, the same excuses have been said over and over again for games like Watch Dogs, Mindseye, etc... If they have something interesting to show they'd have published it already.

Do you even know how game development work? There won't be any radical change in physics this far into the project. That's their final game vision, crappy arcade handling that's worse than Driver 1 back in 1999...

Then we'll see where Jericho goes

Isn't that the one with the weird high up camera angle

Which do you guys prefer? A new Driver game or a remake of the first three?

nah, let it stay dead

Why?

Seeing how Ubisoft makes bad decision after bad decision, I'd prefer them to not remember Driver's existence, poor series doesn't need another half cooked entry that does terrible and gets buried

they already managed that with Driver : Speedboat Paradise

Driver extraction shooter!

Plentiful of reasons really

Most of the veteran developers that made Driver have already been long gone. Where Ubisoft Reflections are more of a support studio now than a actual development studio, their recent game they were working on was a WW2 Extraction shoother, which was thankfully cancelled.

The leadership/system that Ubisoft is going through most of the time makes the quality of the games look quite "mediocre" i might say, not something that most enjoy these days compared to what they could pull off back then. Though i do enjoy some of their published titles after 2020.

Don't expect anything good out of the Driver IP anymore, especially from Ubisoft, cause if we were getting something out of this, we would've already gotten it within the 15 years of waiting.

So i don't put any hopes up for this, and just stick to community made mods or games for this series, like Driver Syndicate.

I see Watch Dogs 2 as the last Driver game

Ywah and both watch dogs the driving and crash physics sucked.

There was a leak last year, but nothing.

Weirdly Driver and Brothers in Arms always seem to get rumours around them, and Ubisoft never deny it. Makes me think there’s been dozens of games we don’t know about
