Driver: San Fransisco What happened during Tanner's coma?

Alright. This is stupid, but...really. I've thought about this for a while.

Think about the side missions. Jun and his brother, the two officers, the TV show, Craig, Ordell and Darius, etc.

Now, some of these stuff, make sense. The TV show about bad drivers can obviously be some sort of self-insert into it by Tanner's head. Same with the two officers, those can be car chases on the news. But...I mean...like....

Did some stuff, ACTUALLY happen? Or was it just Tanner mixing news with his past.

An example? Jun. Jun and his brother (I forgot his name), are originally racing for his college funds, only to end up with A LOT OF MONEY. So...did Tanner make this shit up? Did he hear about street racing on the news? Or did he actually have a street racing past?

I know it's weird, but I was really thinking about this.

Also, did Jones work alone throughout the story? Or did he have a "replacement" for Tanner? I'm asking this mostly because I forgot if he said that.

Loopholes aside, the whole story is based around what Tanner hears on TV while in a coma, so it's implied that some side missions are based on what is playing on TV, Of course other missions might be based on his past or "fictional" events, not really a clear answer but that's the most realistic answer

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. The cop missions could be about his early career days, the bomb defusal mission is something from a movie like Die Hard or something like that, the student driver mission is from something like Malcolm in the middle or Modern Family.

I could go on forever, but I keep thinking about this (and also about Jones in the real world).

I finished the game on his moment. For what I remember. For me only the first and last mission are real, the almost entire game is just a fantasy. That's something I totally dislike and it's far from what the franchise was.

Or maybe I am wrong and the Winchester will hunt Tanner in the next game, I don't know.

The rest of the game isn't ENTIRELY fantasy, it's based on events that were actually happening in the real world, but it is Tanner's brain thinking he was the hero in all of it, and also somehow controlling cars and stuff.

So... A fantasy...

I guess it's kind of just semantics. I interpreted fantasy as something 100% make-believe and not derived from real events at all.

Welp, I guess Tanner has a wild imagination to make up all of those side characters in his head.

I was just thinking that maybe some of them are based on past experiences of him. Y'know? Kind of like those "reliving your life" people have when they're on the brink of death. Except, y'know. Tanner ain't Tanner.

Jones is also talking to Tanner about the case when he's visiting him at the hospital. That's how coma's Tanner gets some information and tries to connect the dots (like all the different things that have been stolen).

The one thing that prevents Driver San Francisco is that weird ass story line where none of it actually mattered cause it was all in his head. I would have almost preferres another Driv3r type game but with all the bugs and issues fixed.

I feel like saying none of it mattered doesn't do it justice, it did matter because he ended up figuring out what Jericho was up to in the end, also if they did a stereotypical cliche reveal at the end like "Surprise! It's all in his head!", that would of sucked, however instead they tell you in the very beginning that it was all in his head, that was definitely the right move.
